This Diwali i wanted to try something new and a quick. Keeping time crunch in mind this was the recipe which was shortlisted and suggested by my mother in law. The ingredients used in this recipe are quite few and are very healthy. The best part is, it hardly require any cooking and can be made within 10 minutes. I made them specially for Diwali pooja which is done in the evening.
So lets look at the ingredients needed:-
Makhane ke laddu

  1. Makhane
  2. Walnuts
  3. Almonds
  4. Ghee
  5. Honey

Looking at the step by step process:-

First of all ghee is taken in a kadhai and it is melted, then makhane were fried in the ghee. One should be quite fast in tossing makhana as they absorbs ghee very fast. Make them light golden in colour as shown. They will also be crunchy in taste after frying. That's the indication that they are done.

In the next step grind the makhane to powder form in your mixer. Also grind the walnuts and almonds to powder or one can crush them to little bites, that's ones choice.

Lastly add honey, appropriate enough to make the mixture bit sticky; so that it can be made into small balls.
Decorate with almonds or raisins and enjoy these healthy laddu. Store them in air tight container and enjoy their taste.
